Prayer needs change constantly. Below is a current list of needs and issues within the church.

If you have a prayer request that you would like to add to the list, or have had a prayer answered or would like to give praise to God, please contact one of the pastors.

Church programs - Prayer point at Southport Baptist Church

Pray for each regular program run by the church, and each upcoming event.
Ill people - Prayer point at Southport Baptist Church
Pray for those in poor health - Trevor Skillen (bowel) and Brigitte Skillen (dizziness), Rod Althaus (arthritis), Ken O'Rourke (melenoma surgery).
Pastor Jim's Ministry - Prayer point at Southport Baptist Church

Thank God that Pastor Jim has made inroads into Keebra State School in Southport and pray that strong bonds will be established that will lead to kids attending kids clubs run by the church.
Church kids and youth - Prayer point at Southport Baptist Church

Church kids. Pray for inspiration and passion for parents and Sunday School leaders. Pray that strong foundations will be laid that will eventually lead to the kids giving their lives to Jesus.
Emmanuel Students - Prayer point at Southport Baptist Church

Pray for the following students at Emmanuel College:

  • Andrew Rolfs. Suffering a lot of pain with his meninges (lining of the brain). The doctors cannot diagnose the problem.
  • Sharni Bodna (Year 8). Undergoing treatment for leukemia.
  • Dean Lessing (Year 11). Had surgery in July to remove brain tumour. He has recovered well but needs our ongoing prayer.
  • Paul Griffiths (Year 11). Recently had very painful intestinal surgery.
Jordan Morrell - Prayer point at Southport Baptist Church
Jordan Morrell shows steady improvement from autism. Thank God for all the SonRise program volunteers and pray for continued breakthroughs.
Local councellors and politicians - Prayer point at Southport Baptist Church
Pray for Councellor Rob Molhoek and other Christians in prominent positions as they share their faith publicly.
