Why bother praying?
Weekly prayer meeting
YAYA network
Prayer is a vital part of Christian life and church life. At a recent Vision meeting held at the church, prayer was highlighted as an area which warranted more importance. The bible says much about prayer. In James it says that the prayers of a righteous man are powerful and effective.
Prayer is just like having a hot line to God - Twenty Four Seven. However, we should not just SMS God our shopping list of prayer requests. A relationship with God goes much deeper than that. We believe that prayer is a vital part of our relationship with God, and vital in seeking His will, individually and collectively, here on the Gold Coast and around the world.
Are any of you suffering hardships?
You should pray.
Are any of you happy?
You should sing praises.
Are any of you sick?
You should call for the elders of the church to come and pray over you, anointing you with oil in the name of the Lord.
Such a prayer offered in faith will heal the sick, and the Lord will make you well. And if you have committed any sins you will be forgiven. Confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. |
We have a weekly prayer meeting on Friday mornings, at 6:30am, at the church.
We also pray at 9am on Sunday mornings, prior to the morning service.
